From Radio Kerry:
The Mayor of Kerry and the vice chairman of Kerry Education Service would like to see the service appointed a CEO, as soon as possible. KES is the only education board area in the country still without a CEO despite several people being offered the position. Last year the Minister for Education announced a plan to amalgamate the countries 33 VECs into 16 Educational Training Board areas. Four non assigned CEOs declined to take up the offer of the role in Kerry. Mayor of Kerry, Labour Cllr Terry O'Brien says he would be happy to see Ann O Dwyer, the current acting CEO assigned to the role proper.
